What is OER?
"Open Educational Resources (OER) are free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, research, and other purposes." (from https://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/What_is_OER)



Illinois joined the #GoOpen Initiative during the past summer, as the 16th state to announce an official policy on OER.  The Illinois Open Education Resources website is getting off the ground with dozens of schools beginning to participate in the collaboration & sharing of high-quality resources for instructional support. Galesburg schools will begin exploring iOER during the 2016-2017 school year to help provide teachers and learners with this support.
