Editing & Reusing Google Classroom Posts

I had a couple of really GREAT questions from a teacher who has been using Google Classroom for a while and didn’t want to re-create the wheel:

How do I edit an announcement or assignment after it is posted

To change an existing post, just click the 3 dots next to the post and choose Edit.

Then you can add more attachments, etc., as needed.

If you have posted the same thing to several classes, you’ll have to do this for every class where it was posted - not a one-and-done sort of thing, I’m afraid.

How do I reuse an old announcement or assignment

To reuse a post that already exists…
  • Open the destination class where it will appear ( You’ll “pull it in” to your class rather than “push it out” to a class)
  • Click the + plus symbol in the lower right corner
  • Choose Reuse Post
(If you want to reuse a post to several classes, you'll have to repeat this process for each destination class)
Then Select the Class

And select the Post you want to re-use
