The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Education Department is offering a FREE WORKSHOP to teachers entitled, "What's real? And how do we know it?" From their email:
Staff historians will present examples and methods of identifying primary sources and how to use them in today's classroom.
Attending teachers will receive 6 CPDU's.
Workshop participants will examine and discuss:
- Documents from our collections
- An 1830's New Salem newspaper
- Presidential Library Manuscript holdings
- Newspapaer and Microfilm
- Political cartoons
Attendeeds will also learn about the benefits and potential pitfalls of using oral history
